This one-of-a-kind pressed botanical piece is a curated portrait of Brevard County’s diverse and often overlooked plant life—reflecting the natural rhythm and movement of our local plant life.

The plants featured in this arrangement were hand-foraged along the east-central Florida coast, from Cocoa Beach to Titusville, including beachside neighborhoods, mainland ditches, and in the thicket beneath the 528 causeway.

The composition reflects the layered coexistence of our native flora:
🟢 Ferns rise from the bottom like forest understory
🟣 Ragweed, elephant ear, and sea hibiscus stretch tall with intention
🌿 Wild muscadine grape vines thread their way delicately across the top, searching for support
🍀 Clovers and creeping ground cover nestle low, grounding the scene
🌾 Meanwhile, local weeds—pepperweed, switchgrass, and marsh parsley—burst skyward in their seeding stage

Every plant was pressed using a traditional method for up to two months, then preserved between double glass panes, sealed with clear silicone, and reinforced with glazier’s points for lasting protection.

A visual love letter to Brevard County's raw, weedy, and wonderful plant life, you won't find a piece like this anywhere else.
