Each botanical art piece from Pressed Plant Co. begins with flora handpicked from the wild and weedy corners of Brevard County, Florida — from native ferns and hibiscus to invasive oleander and overlooked garden weeds. Every plant tells its own story, offering a glimpse into the diverse and ever-evolving botanical environment of our region.

Harvested at the peak of their color and form, plant specimens are carefully pressed in a traditional flower press between layers of acid-free watercolor paper and cardboard. Throughout a drying process that can last up to two months, the papers are rotated and replaced to ensure optimal preservation of vibrant hues and delicate structures.

Quality, locally sourced frames and glass panes are thoughtfully repurposed to create sustainable, one-of-a-kind works of art. Each plant composition is meticulously arranged between hand-cut glass panes, sealed securely into the frame with high-quality silicone and further reinforced with glazier’s points for lasting durability.
