This one-of-a-kind piece captures a fleeting moment in a Florida garden—late spring to early summer, when edible plants reach their full glory. Featured are a blossoming tomato plant, lettuce in its towering seed stage, cilantro that has bolted and formed fragrant coriander seeds, seeding mint, and delicate broccoli florets bursting into bloom.

Each botanical was carefully foraged from a community garden I help run—picked at peak expression to showcase the natural life cycle of familiar favorites in our edible landscape. From the deep greens of leafy growth to the soft, airy textures of flowering herbs, this arrangement is a visual celebration of both nourishment and beauty.

Thoughtfully arranged between double glass panes, the plants are sealed with clear silicone and secured with framing pins for durability. The wood grain frame was hand-selected to echo the rustic charm of backyard gardening.
